Begin localization simultaneously with development to complete the multilingual process

Major PC manufacturer in the United States

  • Issue

    · The client wanted to proceed with game development and localization at the same time, and move forward with development (which affects the game content) as much as possible before the launch. · The client wanted to order localization for many languages at once regardless of time differences and once the localization process was completed, they wanted to move to the testing phase for all languages at the same time.

  • Solution & result

With the cooperation of offices and partners around the world, TOIN was able to begin localization when game development was about 80% complete. As a result, the localization process was shortened. The remaining 20% of game development involved terminology, and TOIN established a process where the material was localized when the source English was changed/finalized by the client, and then to be delivered.
