Translation of pharmaceutical applications with quick turnaround

Pharmaceutical company in Japan

  • Issue

It was necessary to translate large volumes of paper-based source documents with pressing deadlines. There were also many tables, which took longer than regular translations, so we split the job among several people, but it was necessary to unify the terminology and expressions.

  • Solution & result

Conventionally, medical translators do not use CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools very much, but as it was necessary to split the large volume of work between several translators with short deadlines, TOIN decided to use such tools. By training the linguists who passed the pharmaceutical test translation to use the tools and with in-house engineers providing support, TOIN was able to successfully reduce the costs and work time. This led to great satisfaction to which the customer gave the following feedback, "You and us are a 'team'. We want to cooperate with you in the future to create great things together."
