There was a need to rewrite the content in a manner that foreigners would be interested. The content was related to Japanese culture, so there was a need to assign translators who were well-versed in Japanese culture. It included content that was difficult to translate with a certain set of rules, such as region names and names of dishes.
TOIN assigned writers with knowledge according to the content on the website and consulted with them while performing the rewriting. TOIN selected and gathered translators who were well-versed on Japanese culture (instead of those with a good grasp of the culture of the target language who are normally best-suited for these types of jobs), and created a translation standard while applying common rules. TOIN created a special column for the webpage in each language and was able to create a website that interested the target audience.
