― In what situations do you need translations?

Mr. Kozai:In our department (Legal and Intellectual Property Department), we need to read documents related to contracts with foreign countries, patent-related gazettes and articles.
Our business unit translates e-mails when communicating directly with foreign countries.
In addition, the public relations department needs to send out corporate brochures, disclosure information for shareholders, news releases, etc. in English, which are translated by an outside translation company.


― You were already using another AI translation service before T-tact AN-ZIN®, how did you translate documents before adopting the AI translation service?


Mr. Kozai:We implemented another AI translation tool at our company, but it was not very user-friendly and we didn’t use it much.
I needed to read contract-related English texts and did so without using specialized tools. While ensuring security, I used a free translation service on a phrase-by-phrase basis.

Mr. Kozai:The service we used before was in some ways very sophisticated and felt like a service for professional translators. ― How has your business changed since implementing T-tact AN-ZIN®?


Mr. Kozai:The interface is user-friendly, enabling more active use, which facilitates understanding the content of foreign documents.
Having worked overseas, I am occasionally asked to translate in-house, but since the number of users is unlimited, I can have them use T-tact AN-ZIN® themselves, so I can concentrate on my main job, which is legal work.


― How do you feel about using T-tact AN-ZIN®?


Mr. Kozai: I am satisfied overall with the high translation accuracy, the ability to translate whole files at once, and the security of the system. I have also asked other users how they feel about using the system, and they seem to be satisfied.


― How would you describe TOIN’s support for this tool?


Mr. Kozai:When we have had problems, TOIN has responded quickly and have been really helpful.
When we first introduced the system, there were times when the translation results were cut off or no translation results were produced due to character count limitations when dealing with traditional Chinese characters. When we approached them, they immediately identified the cause of the problem and took action to address it, making us feel very well supported.
